‘Tis the season of appreciation (and sweet potato casserole, but that’s a story for another time)!
I want to first take a moment to personally thank all of our clients, followers, partners, and readers; we are so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you!
During this time each year I always feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for my life, my family, my health, and so much more. This year, however, as many of you can probably relate, I am extra grateful for all of these things. 2020 has been a great reminder to not take anything for granted.
All that being said, our Metrix Team has put together a few simple ways that you can express and share gratitude in your everyday life:
A Simple Text Message
Moments of gratitude do not have to be grandiose; they can be simple. Each morning take a few moments to text three people in your phone’s contact list. The text can be something as simple as “Hi! I was just thinking about you and hope you are well!”, or “Good morning! Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you!” I know it sounds a bit cheesy, but by sharing this small token of gratitude, you can brighten someone’s day, and it will even make you feel good too!
The Five Minute Journal
If you have not yet heard of The Five Minute Journal, open up a new tab, and add it to your Amazon cart stat! This journal is another great and simple way to add gratitude into your everyday routine. Each page is outlined to help you express appreciation in various ways – reading a motivation quote, writing affirmations, and more. Now, I know that some people think ‘journaling’ is a time consuming and somewhat daunting task. Well, don’t fret, because guess how long it will take you to complete these journal entries?! You guessed it… just 5 minutes! I recommend keeping your journal next to your bed and completing it first thing in the morning when you wake up.
